Addiction –  Do you have one?

If you do then you are not alone. According the charity Action on Addiction one in three of us have an addiction. Addiction is defined as having no control  over using, taking or doing something that is harmful to you. The most common addictions are to drugs, alcohol, gambling and nicotine, but of course there are many more. Many people are addicted to sugar and we are always hearing another report in the press about a celebrity who is addicted to sex.

If I have no control, what can I do?

It often seems as if we have no control over our addictions and because of this it can feel as if there is no hope of changing. Addictions quickly become habits and habits are rooted in our subconscious mind. We learn habits and because of this we can unlearn them. Hypnotherapy can help change a habit and remove an addiction forever.

If you have an addiction ask yourself –  When did this start? What is the advantage of continuing to behave in this way? What will happen if I continue to behave in this way? How motivated am I to change right now? Be honest about the answers and you are on the path to change.

How can hypnotherapy help?

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for treating many addictions. The most common addiction I work with is smoking. It is possible to become a non-smoker in just one session of hypnotherapy. You can take back control and rid yourself of an unwanted habit forever. Hypnotherapy can be used to reprogram the subconscious mind to let go of an addiction for good.

Imagine what life would be like if you were free of your addiction. Maybe you would be healthier, happier even wealthier?
